1/35 WWII Russian Commanders & Kubelwagen Set Tamiya #25153 Shrink Wrapped MISB

Description: I have to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. THIS IS MY LAST ONE! Back in 2012, Tamiya released Limited Edition versions of some of their most popular kits with the addition of partner content, like high quality ABER PE sets and metal barrels. For this release, Tamiya has added a set of four detailed ICM figures to create this Russian Commanders Set. I have been a big fan of these kits, since they cut out the middleman and provide extra value. These are about a dozen of these listed on eBay (mostly from overseas) but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this to you very quickly. Here are some of the details about this mind-blowing kit that I found from around the web: The tamiya.com site has a listing under the Limited Edition section of their On-Line Catalog. They show only one photo of an assembled and painted model with the four outstanding figures. They provide the following bullet points about the kit features: · This set depicts four Russian commander figures and a captured Kübelwagen pressed into service as a staff car by the Russian Army.· The figures are depicted with the Rubashka uniform worn from 1943 or 5-button uniforms.· Decals are included to depict Russian vehicle registration numbers as well as shoulder insignias for the figures.· Figure parts are products of ICM, Ukraine. Scalemates.com has a listing that confirms this is a 2012 release based on a 1997 new mold. These are many links to aftermarket parts, books, walk-arounds and galleries of completed Kubelwagen kits. I could not find a review of this specific kit with the added ICM figures, but there are many glowing reviews of the core Kubelwagen kit. Brett Green did a Build Review of the 1997 Kubelwagen kit (#35213) on the hyperscale.com site. He was initially dubious that the world needed another Kubelwagen kit, but he said this release opened his eyes to what the kit should be. He raved about the hidden stowage compartment and the representation of the fabric seats and folded roof. His build was quick and fantastic. He closed the review with: “The overall impression is quality and the reaction is fun. Even the most anally retentive modeller will find instant gratification with this superbly simple kit.” Frank Reynolds did a thorough Build Review of the original kit (#35213) on the modelingmadness.com site. He intended for this to just be a test of the new Ammo by Mig paints, but he was quite taken with this little kit. It was the perfect canvas for his project since the assembly went flawlessly and the fit was impeccable. He literally could find nothing bad to say about the kit, summarizing with: “The Tamiya kit is simple enough to build and is a classic example of a well-engineered shake and bake model that can be much more fully detailed if required.” To get a good look at the parts of the original kit (#35213), there are several YouTube videos that display the contents and give commentary. Pete's Kits posted a 23-minute Unboxing Video that takes you through every detail of the kit. Tactical Jackalope gave us a 11.5-minute In Box Review that goes through the instructions first and then dives into the sprues in high definition. Halidon did a 12-minute Build Video that presents some very detailed close-ups of the parts before putting everything together and finishing it. This kit is in a sturdy, decorated box about 11.5” x 7.5” x 2”. As you can see from the pictures, the package is immaculate and still in the original shrink wrap, so it is factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready. This item contains one complete injection molded plastic model kit with tan and clear plastic parts, a set of decals and a set of four Russian Commander figures from ICM to populate a fantastic diorama.
