Description: This short film is about Wyoming, specifically the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Chronicling from the first white man, John Colton, to venture into the area and other explorers like Jim Bridger, Wyoming achieving statehood, women's right to vote and the booming trade of Tourism in Jackson Hole. Narrated by Dana Elcar. Good Condition. Faded Color, but you can still pull the color back out if your intention is to do a color-corrected film scan. No Vinegar Smell. Film is complete, runs approx. 10 minutes and comes mounted on a 400ft reel. There’s a plethora of great historical footage here. It’s the kind of item that film historians salivate over and is perfect for clip footage libraries as this film is solidly in the public domain. As of the time of this eBay listing, this short is not available to watch on any online platforms (YouTube, Archive.org, etc), making this eBay auction a rare opportunity to own this rare item. I was unable to find any additional information on this film. It’s not even listed on IMDB. How is it possible that a Universal Pictures production (yep…that’s who made it) could be completely forgotten today? Pictures above are all from the actual film being offered taken while the print was running on a projector. Film is much sharper than pictures indicate. Some pictures might be more out of focus than others due to the camera used NOT the actual print. We don't ever use stock photos. If you have any questions at all feel free to ask and thanks for looking!
