Provenance: Ownership inscription of John Knight of Whitchurch, Shropshire to title-page with note to lower corner "cost 4s in sheets". Description: Third edition in contemporary tree calf with gilt title on red morocco label and gilt detailing to spine. Externally sound and firm, a little wear to extremities, bumping to corners, some small patches of rubbing to surface of lower board. Armorial bookplate (Knight) to front pastedown, along with two other labels. Ink inscription to title-page (as above). Text-block remains sound and firm, pages a little age toned with some foxing in places. Five folding leaves with six copper-plate plans as called for - directions to the binder on final leaf. (N.B. Fourth plate bound in with top and bottom folds turned in (as shown) and will need to be carefully cut at gutter to be fully unfolded - we have left this as found).
