Description: DATING TO THE 1830’S FASHIONED OF A PALE GREEN AND IS SEWN BY HAND COMPLETELY THORUGHOUT. THE SLEEVES ARE SET OFF THE SHOULDER AND ARE LARGE PUFF GIGOT STYLE WITH PIPING BOTH AROUND THE ARM HOLE AND DOWN THE UNDER SLEEVE SEAM WITH LAYERED PLEATING ATOP THE SLEEVE AND BEAUTIFUL PIPED EDGED PETAL DETAILING FULLY AROUND. FAN PLEATING THROUGH THE FRONT WITH SIDE SEAMS PIPED. WIDE SET BELTING WITH A GLAZED LINEN TOPPED SKIRT ATTACHED BENEATH. THE SKIRTING IS UNLINED WITH THE INNER TOP LINED IN LINEN AND COTTON WITH A CRESCENT OF STIFF BUCKRAM ON THE TOP INNER SLEEVE TO GIVE THE SLEEVE STANCE. HAND MADE BRASS WIRE EYES WITH CORRESPONDING BRASS HOOKS CLOSES THE REAR. CONDITION: THIS DRESS IS SOLD AS IT WAS ACQUIRED, NOTE THE CONDITION. A RING OF YELLOWED STAINING IS SEEN BENEATH THE ARMS. BROWN SPOTTED STAINING SEEN ON THE FAN PLEATS IN THE FRONT. SMALL AGE SPOTTING SEEN TO THE SLEEVES, SOME YELLOWED STAINING SEEN TO THE FRONT BELTING WITH SPATTERED SMALL AGE SPOTS SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE SKIRT, SPOTTING IS A BIT MORE PRONOUNCED ON THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE.
