Description: In German, needless to say. Published in Leipzig in 1867. I believe the spine title would translate as “The Amur Region”. “ The Book of Travels and Discoveries. Asia III:” “The Amur region and its importance. Travels in parts of Mongolia, the adjacent regions of Eastern Siberia, on the Amur and its tributaries” “According to the latest reports, mainly according to notes by A.Michie, G.Radde, R.Maack and others” Edited by Dr. Richard Andree. With VG folding map at the rear, 4 full page plates on stiff paper, and scores of other large and small illustrations spread throughout the text, including full page ones. [All the illustrations are in black & white.] Leather and cloth binding with notable external wear, particularly at the edges, corners, and spine, but the binding remains firm. All pages and illustrations present. A short closed tear on the left edge of the map has been repaired on the reverse side with a piece of pH-neutral archival tape. Foxing, darkening, ‘fingersoil’ & small spots of unknown origin to a number of the pages. No writing or written marks [pencil on endpaper erased]. Please examine photos closely if interested, and feel free to ask a question. An adult recipient at the eBay registered address will need to sign for the book at delivery. Thanks for your interest.
