Description: 1896 P MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR UNC A nice 1880 Morgan silver dollar. The coin is from the Philadelphia mint. This is the third year of the Morgan and this coin should grade out AU. Maybe the most beautiful, as to design, of any U.S. $1 silver coins. This coin was designed by George T Morgan and there were 12,600,000 of these Philadelphia coins minted that year. The KM# is 110. In the case of the Morgan silver dollars that are out there, in 1916 the U.S. government enacted the Pittman Act. recalling up to 50% of the Morgan dollars in circulation to be melted to help fund the effort for WW!. No telling how many of these beautiful coins are actually still in existence. This is a nice coin for a collection. This coin comes in a protective plastic coin holder.
