Description: Offered is this antique Hebrew-language book containing six books of the Bible. Included are "the earlier prophets": Joshua, Judges, I & II Samuel and I & II Kings. The book was published in 1928 by the Hebrew Publishing Co. in New York. The title page and the contents page contain some words in English and each Bible book title page has the title in Latin. I think this is one volume of a set containing the complete Hebrew Bible, as the page numbering does not start with 1. The book is approx. 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" and contains 308 pages, numbered from 353 to 660. It is in very good condition. The black hard cover has only light wear, mainly on the corners and at the top and bottom of the spine, with a few light spots elsewhere. There is no cracking inside either the front or back covers. The white endpapers are clean but have yellowed. I see no missing or torn pages and all the pages are well-attached to the binding. The pages have yellowed but they are generally clean and clear. I see no writing in the book. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
