Description: Just call me Marryin’ Sam. Over the past 50 years, I have purchased hundreds of old heads and bodies and married many of them together. I just love old decoys and I like to bring them to life again. The body for this decoy was carved by Ralph Ferris in the 1930’s. I don’t know who carved the head but it was just about a perfect match. Note the unique weighted metal keel. I have resealed and restored this decoy and it could be hunted again.
