Eglin, commander of Fort Totten, Queens, and the 62nd Coast Artillery, who is said to have been singled out as a victim of the espionage ring, 3 members of which were arrested by G-Men in this city 2 days ago. Officials quoted one of the suspects as saying that Colonel Eglin, under faked orders, was to have brought certain secret documents to a hotel in this city, and there if necessary slain in effort to make him reveal a National Mobilization Plan.
