President Roosevelt addressing a joint session of the Senate and House asks for declaration of war against Japan. 2. The President, his face etched in grim lines of determination, signs the declaration of war (right photo). Standing behind the President are Left to Right: Representatives Bloom, New York; Johnson Texas, (timing the signature with his wrist watch); Eaton, New Jersey; Martin, Massachusetts; Vice President Wallace; Speaker Rayburn, Texas; McCormack, Massachusetts, and Senator McNary, Oregon. Poster shows light toning from age, creasing from being folded, a slight tear in the top margin, gentle soiling to the front and back, light wrinkling, and general wear around the extremities.
