Description: The Lionel Union Pacific FA No. 2023 would be the first of the Alco FAs that Lionel issued on their 50th Anniversary of making electric trains in 1950.The powered unit was equipped with Magnetraction, a horn that was operated by a D Cell battery, and a three position directional unit whose control lever was adjustable from underneath the chassis. A single vertical worm drive motor powers two axles and the lettering was heat-stamped on these units. #1 included in set: Variation B: YELLOW body with GRAY roof and frame, with RED stripes and lettering (1950). Runs great.#2 & #3 in set: Variation C: SILVER body, with GRAY roof and BLACK lettering and stripes (1951).Also include original box.All of the Lionel Alco FA units are designed to work on the tighter radius of O27 Gauge track, but they will run equally well on O Gauge track.PLEASE REFER TO ALL PICTURES FOR ACCURATE CONDITION OF ALL ITEMS.
