Des Moines, Iowa - This painting entitled "The New God" was made by Byron Ben Boyd, Des Moines, in 1931. It shows line of Russians waiting to enter Lenin's tomb. Picture might have been made today since Joseph Stalin's body was laid in the tomb this week. Boyd said: "When I painted it I had a feeling this was a new kind of thing, a fanatical religion." He said he moved some buildings in Red Square for purpose of symbolism.
