1958 Legnano Roma Olimpiade - Campagnolo Model - Beautiful Restoration

Description: This rare and original 1958 Legnano Roma Olimpiade (possibly late 1957) has been carefully restored and professional refinished by VeloColour ( https://www.velocolour.com/ ) with great attention paid to matching the original 'lizard yellow' paint colour, decal placement and pinstriping (masked). High quality new chrome plating was added to the fork and stay ends, headtube lugs and the Magistroni crankset (protecting the Legnano engravings). The headtube badge was removed for the painting, enamelling reapplied and repinned to the headtube with the correct brass rivets as per the original. The Legnano logo on the downtube was also stencil painted (masked) as per the original. The white bands on the seat tube were also painted as per the original finishing. The finishing clearcoat was wet sanded leaving the decals completely flush with the surface. In short, no time or expense was spared on the refinishing of the frame to the exact standards of the original. The beautifully finished VO mudguards|fenders were a personal addition to the restoration to complete the vintage look, with a perfect fit to the geometry of the bike. Easy enough for the new owner to remove if they are not desired. Insured shipping with Fedex Ground for locations in the Continental USA and Canada is included in the price.
