Description: 1971 Topps Basketball Empty Wax Box 12 ct. box extremely rare You are buying the wrapper listed in the title. Box is not perfect but it is completely intact. Very colorful and almost never seen. This is the smaller 12ct. version. 1971 Topps was a short printed year for all sports. There are all kinds of theories why but finding boxes, wrappers and packs are more challenging than years before or after. Basketball was also a farely new venture for Topps so likely not something they cranked up the presses for. These boxes are also interesting in that the edge near the lid where it says "Pro" and "Special" have to be folded back if the box was going to be flat. Unlike later topps versions like 73 where the extra tabs had perforations so they folded down. I will ship internationally, please send a message for rates before purchasing.
