The result of 17 different concepts, the watercolor renderings show two alternatives for the waterfront collection of stores, restaurants, educational and entertainment facilities. Alternative 2 for Pier Park: Design Alternative 2 for Pier Park on St. Petersburg's waterfront has a more concentrated aquarium, designed as a series of connected exhibits. It includes a four-level parking garage with shaded areas along the roof that would be 33 feet to 45 feet tall. The two architectural alternatives will be reviewed by a special citizens committee, the City Council and voters, during a 1984 referendum. Photo measures 10 x 8 inches. Photo Is dated 1983.
