With an insertion rate of 1 per 300 packs and a 144 card set , you would have had a 1 in 43200 chance of pulling this beauty at $5 a pack. With a limited print run of 30 cards per player, it’s a truly rare card (but not a 1 of 1) that can still be obtained by the serious collector. It can be appreciated by those seeking the complete set or those who collect their favorite team or player. I fall in the latter category and this is one the Crown Jewels of my St. Louis Cardinals and Ozzie Smith collections. I acquired it in 1997 to complete the 7 card “rainbow” for the set. The card is not graded but I consider it to be in mint condition.
