Description: This sale is for five pieces of sterling silver in the Kings pattern, with shell, marked James Allan & Co. There is a 7 1/4” master butter knife, three 6 1/2” lunch forks and one 5 7/8” tea spoon. Allan was the most prominent jeweler in Charleston, SC who began operation right after the Civil War. Unsure if Allan made these flatware pieces or if he just retailed them, but no other hallmarks are present, except tea spoon has Dominick & Haff hallmark. Unknown how old these are. Total weight is approximately 207 grams. All are monogrammed as shown and are in good condition, but there is some wear on the fork tines.
