Although they look antique and original, they're only a few decades old. Each hinge is made of solid, heavy, thick cast iron and weighs 1.5 lbs! They're painted black but could be painted any color you like. The hinges also come with 20, thick, flathead screws. Aside from the missing finial, the hinges are in excellent condition. They have the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used hinges, but there are no breaks, cracks, bends, or gouges. They don't open effortlessly like most of the hinges we sell, but once installed on a heavy pair of doors, this wont matter. They are ready for another lifetime of service.
