Description: Rare Aesop's Fables 13.5" Doll – Movie Series, circa 1930This charming rare and unique 13.5" stuffed velvet fabric doll. One of a kind!It is from the rare Aesop’s Fables Movie Dolls series, circa 1930, and is connected to Disney history due to Walt Disney's legal action against the Van Beuren Corporation for their creation of a Mickey Mouse look-alike, "Milton Mouse." The doll wears shorts, it has feminine eye lashes and freckles. Feet, hands, body and head are all original. It also has a wire armature for posing, making it an interactive piece. These dolls had many variations. There wasn't a fully established design for these; it seems they essentially mixed and matched various parts to create them. Some of these were movie theater prizes, and possibly this one was. Condition: It’s missing the pie eyes that were glued on. And there is a small tear on the left foot (both could be repaired) but remains in good overall condition for its age. A unique and collectible piece of movie memorabilia with a fascinating Disney connection. Weight: 11.7 ounces Dimensions: 13.5” H x 8” W (arms) x 5” D (head) The item pictured here is the same one you will receive. Please message me for any questions.
