Description: This is an antique opaque projector from the 19teens or 1920s. Manufactured by the Buckeye Stereopticon Co. from Cleveland, Ohio. It projects opaque images, such as postcards and photos, rather than transparent slides, by using a double bulb system and a long lens. I inherited this item from my great aunt Mary Soika (nee Stasney) (also pictured) over 40 years ago. I used to display the item in my home. I never used it as a projector. It is in working condition. (Aunt Mary was a member of the Stasney family. "Bing" the A.J. Stasney Music Co. from the early 1900s for some interesting history). It's time for me to pass the Mirroscope on. I'm not sure but it might possibly be missing a sliding rear door. I don't know if it originally came with a door or not. The top rail of the slide has a dent in it. (see pictures) The dent and having no door is how I received the item. The color is dark greenish black and black. The main "box" itself without measuring for the lens or chimneys is 13" wide x 10" high x 8 1/2" deep. The lens is not removable, the chimneys are. The lens protrudes 3 1/4" and extends up to 6 3/4". The chimneys add 3" to the top of the box. Total weight of the item is 6 lbs, 2 oz. Ships from CLE, Ohio. UPS Ground Saver
