Description: Antique 19thC Japanese Meiji Red Bronze Tripod Footed 12.5" Bowl Planter Vase Click images to enlarge Description DESCRIPTION: This beautiful bowl originates from Japan in the late 19th century Meiji period. It is finely crafted and detailed, and made of bronze, with rich "red" patinated finish. The bowl features a rotund body, supported by three short figural feet, and features stylized handles. The exterior is decorated with a low relief decorative band, and features scenic medallions interspersed with animal and floral motifs. The piece is un-signed but the work of a skilled artist. The stunning bowl will make a great addition to any collection! CONDITION: The item presents well and is in very good antique condition, with minor wear, scuffing, tarnish/oxidation and patina commensurate with age and use. There are a few minor dings/dents; one foot has an old repair, it is attached in place with a pin, it is secure but slightly loose. Please review all photos before purchasing.
