Antique c 1910 English Transferware 5 3/4" Plate Bombay by John Maddock & Sons

Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Transferware. This is an antique English Transferware plate. The pattern is called Bombay. This was made by John Maddock and Sons Ltd. Royal Vitreous. Made of Semi Vitreous. Beautiful plate with a Bombay Japan pattern with Gadrooned border. Brown Transferware with underglaze blue and orange and light blue added. Antique. Over 100 years old. Very good condition for age. There is crazing mostly on back. No chips, cracks, or repairs. One back crazing looks like a line but is crazing and doesn't go through to the front. Typical stilt marks. Upon close inspection there is typical crazing. Beautiful example. Measures about 5 3/4" in diameter. Shipping total includes insurance, and delivery confirmation. We usually ship 3 to 5 days after payment clears. All items sold as-is where-is. We are only responsible for the item while in our possession. We will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping. We will pack all items VERY WELL with bubble wrap and peanuts(furniture will be packed by the shipper). That is why ALL of the items purchased require insurance. In the unlikely event an item is damaged or lost by the mail/shipper we will work with you to help you file your claim, but the settlement will be between you and the carrier.
