Description: Ground shipping with UPS/FedEx is free for the contiguous United States. Lamp to top of socket: 15" Lamp to top of finial: 20.75"Weight (not including cords): 5 lbs. 8 oz. This old lamp was created in the mid-20th century out of an early 20th or late-19th century Chinese ginger jar. The ginger jar is quite beautiful, with a scene that is entirely hand painted (no outline or transfer), showing a bird amongst pink flowers. The back has a bunch of Chinese characters written on it. Measured by itself, the porcelain would be 8.5" wide and 8" tall. It has been tested to make sure it works, and is set for a three-way bulb. The base is hand carved out of wood and the lid is also wood with carved detail. The porcelain looks good, however there are two spots (circled in photos) with hairline cracks. It doesn't seem to be caused from damage. There is also a chip on the top rim (pictures) and a chip to the wood lid in the middle (not pictured), both of which are hidden unless you take the lamp apart.
