Description: An antique EAPG pressed flint glass compote in the "Argus" or Thumbprint pattern, manufactured in the mid-19th century by Bakewell, Pears & Co. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There are negligible fleabites to the sharp edge on the underside, inside the rim. This is a slight manufacturing defect, not damage. Some faint, negligible scattered surface scratches. There are a few scattered pinpricks and some areas of light scratching on the upper rim. This is barely perceptible. The compote rings like a bell.
