Description: Antique Flow blue bread plate. W. H Grindley, FB Duchess Pattern, No. 184834. Stamped. Ironstone transferware. 6 1/2" Antique bread plate with a decorative blue flower motif. Made by W.H. Grindley & Co. between 1891 & 1914 (based on the backstamp). Scalloped rim and flow blue floral transfers. The rim gilt is worn off. A few aged & yellowed edge chips. Overall light crazing, minor stains and utensil marks. It came from a local estate sale. In buying vintage, you will find minor scratches, scuffs, different colored, patina or other 'evidence' of the items previous use.
