Antique French Early 19th Century Bird Fruit Nantes Toile Cotton Fabric #2~ Red

Description: Extremely happy to have sourced this amazing historic antique early 19thc French cotton toile. A beloved bird, & fruit design. A Nantes textile, other early variations were also Alsace printed.About 1820's/30's time frame.Gorgeous elements in this textile & a lovely document piece of French textile printing history. I will be listing this marvelous textile in 2 sizes in separate listings. This listing is for the more narrow length which will have 2 birds and a variety of the other elements seen. Photo 2 is a good example of the composition. All strong with good coloring for their age. May have a tiny fiber break or small age spot due to it's early age but quite lovely and overall well maintained. ***Measures~ 14" wide by 16-17" long. **I can keep multiple units uncut and cintinuous. Each add'l piece purchased increases the length, the width remains at 14". It was the best way to divide this for smaller projects artisans & those wanting to frame or simply have a piece aded to a collection without cutting into too much of the design elements themselves.Two purchased gives one the fuller overall design with more of the large basket, lower grapes etc..But one is a lovely piece for a good project composition.
