It is such a pleasure to own a doll of this beauty and dressed so exquisite. This antique German parian doll dales from the 1880's. She was made by the German firm of Alt, Beck & Gottschalck. She is 20 inches tall. For reference see page #47, picture #51 in 'Identifying German Parian Dolls' by the late Mary Gorham Krombholz. The bisque head on this doll is outstanding. Wonderful facial painting. Notice her pierced earrings. Now notice those curls - fabulous. Her body is vintage leather and cloth lower legs and feet. She has antique china arms and hands. She wears newer cotton and lace trimmed pantaloons; vintage cotton underskirt; and a lovely bronze colored dress with black lace trim. What a great doll. A fine example. From my home to yours.
