Antique T.E. O'Keefe Oswego NY Blob Top Beer Bottle Amber New York 1880s

Description: Up for sale is a gorgeous amber beer bottle dating to around 1885 or 1890. It's a typical cylindrical export beer shape with a slight "lady's leg" neck. It is embossed with "T.E. O'KEEFE / 114 & 116 / EAST FIRST STREET / OSWEGO, N.Y." across the front and with "C & CO" on the base. This refers to Cunningham & Co., the manufacturer, which operated a glass factory in Pittsburgh under that name from 1879 to 1907. It has an applied blob top lip. It's approximately 9 1/2" tall and it's about 2 3/4" in diameter across the base. This is the variant that unfortunately does not have the Schlitz embossing - still not an especially common bottle! It's in essentially perfect condition with just some typical exterior scratching and wear, scuffs etc., no chips or cracks, very light case wear. Never buried and still sparkly, they don't get much cleaner! Satisfaction guaranteed, if you're not in love after handling it in person I'm happy to accept returns.
