Description: Antique Eberhard Faber Folding Red Pencil Case TELEVISION FUTURE ELECTRICAL EYES BY RADIO probably from the 1930s, possibly the early 1940s This is an antique red 4-⅝ x 10 inch fold-out pencil case imprinted in gold with the name Eberhard Faber U.S.A. No. 7010. There is an original unused pencil and an ink pen (that takes an ordinary pen point) enclosed. Completely unfolded it measures 10 x 11-¾ inches and the inside has a compartment with holes for pencils and other accessories. The red leather-like outside surfaces have gold embossed lettering that says TELEVISION FUTURE ELECTRICAL EYES BY RADIO. The additional text and images of sound and broadcasting equipment are clearly visible in our pictures above and below. Our photos show the actual antique Eberhard Faber pencil kit we offer for sale, which we suspect dates to the late 1930s or early 1940s. It was stored top side up as the red leather on that side is less vivid than the bottom side which looks virtually like new. The gold snap works fine. No odor.
