The piece showing an expressive mermaid carrying on her back a monumental natural nautilus shell shade with inner light. The mermaid sculpture bronze has a very delicate execution and is mounted on a pedestal Carrara marble. Unmarked or signed but very probably made in Austria or France. Measures: Total height: 10 1/2 inch or 27cm. Condition: Very good overall condition with expected wear. Professional cleaned. Some traces remained soiling concentrated to the recessed contours of the sculpture. Some minor surface wear to the patina consistent with age and use. The natural nautilus shell is in perfect condition. The marble pedestal have some damages that can be seen in the images and has one old restoration on the edge of the base that is not noticeable. Rewired for normal use.
