This book was "Printed in Great Britain", indicating that it is either the first American edition or a very-early American edition. It measures 9" x 5 3/4" and is 37 pages and in Very Good condition with wear and uneven fading to the rear board (i.e., please see image #4 below) and with some additional, gentle, overall soiling and wear. There are four, charming, full-page, color illustrations in Fine condition by Arthur Rackham; they are printed on glossy paper, which is blank on the reverse. In addition, he has done a line drawing on just-about every page (e.g., image #3 below), he has fully-decorated the endpapers in silhouette, and he has decorated the title page and front board. There is no former-owner's bookplate inside, no writing inside, no foxing, and there are no loose pages.
