Description: NEW & UNBUILT in a fair 1st Issue box from the AURORA Plastic Co., at their West Hempstead facility in 1953, it's a complete ME-109 molded in burgundy. Scale is 1/48th. This 1st issue box lid has 4 aircraft. Later issues only show 3 planes. The box lid has some touched-up spots--see last 2 photos. Note: According to the box artist, Jim Cox, the towns printed on the lid aremeant to represent Philadelphia, PA. & Camden, N.J.The instruction sheet is in poor condition. The decals are replacements. The box is solid with NO split corners.The box lid is still bright and colorful. Sold as-is. See all photos.
