Description: This gorgeous jacket is a true vintage piece dating from the 1960s. It has been custom-tailored by its original wearer and has a wonderful floral inner lining. The neatly stitched patches to this jacket are original and indicate that the wearer was a US Army Aviator in the 1st Aviation Brigade by the name of “Murphy”. These coloured patches were only worn in the early stages of the Vietnam War, and as the 1st Aviation Brigade was formed in early 1966, it is likely that this jacket was worn in the 1966-1970 period. This jacket resembles the style of a MA-1 or L-2B jacket, but is clearly a distinct style. The jacket is small in size.
