Looks absolutely outstanding. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Presented here is a sophisticated and unusual Bulova ‘Senator’ wristwatch meant for someone keen on proudly standing apart from the rest. DETAILS: Case: 'Senator’ model. Delightful, tonneau shaped case with distinctive scalloped ‘flurries’ at the central points. Original & signed ‘Bulova’. The 10kt gold plated bezel and stainless steel case back have been cleaned & repolished and fitted with a new acrylic crystal. There is a small 'ding' to the upper right hand lug please be sure you are happy with this. In general, the case looks great with wear/scratches present commensurate with the age of the watch. Crown: New, newly acquired ‘Bulova’ stock. Signed. Excellent. Dial: Very eye-catching & immaculate. The original dial has been professionally refinished to a high standard in a pearl tone, accentuating and complementing the rich lustre of the 10kt gold plated case. The even number hour positions are marked with stylised numerals whilst the remaining positions are angular markers. All are gilt and slightly raised on the dial. The ‘Bulova’ name, minute chapter and recessed sub-second dial at the six o’clock position are in black. Hands: Hour, minute & second hands, gilt, curved ‘Alpha’ style are all original, looking great. Movement: BULOVA high quality Swiss manual wind movement. This is a fine classic 11AF calibre with 17 jewels marked ‘M1’ for 1961. The movement has been cleaned, oiled & adjusted, and at the time of listing is running well keeping good time ready to wear. As with all vintage watches regular servicing is recommended. Size: Tonneau shaped measures approx. 37.75mm long including lugs X 27.65mm wide (excluding crown). Approx. 27.71mm excluding the lugs. Band: A new 16mm black leather band with gold tone buckle has been fitted complementing the watch perfectly. ___________________________________________________________________________________ General comments: This is a delightful example of a Bulova ‘Senator’ watch from 1961 which has been restored to appeal once again.
