Description: C. 1915 Western Electric Battery District Office Telephone Relay & Circuit Unit. It was dated on the basis of stamp dates on some of the components. This is a single district office Western Electric step relay and network circuit unit. It is marked 823, but I can't find any information on this specific unit. The unit has a multitude of relays and coils of all types. It also has 12 front switches and 6 front jacks. 20 of the coils and relays aren't marked. Ten are marked 149 BF, 11 are marked B66 and there are 24 coil meters in the unit marked 12H. It's completely wired and has lots of telephone and switchboard type wiring inside . This unit has been stored for many decades. I haven't cleaned it up in any regard. It's full of dust, spider webs, etc. I think it's original and basically complete and would clean it very well. The entire unit is housed in a heavy oak case that measures approximately 26 X 17 X 13 in. It has two heavy handles on each side for carrying and a series of cast iron frames inside the box to hold the equipment in place. I am selling this unit as pickup or buyer arranged shipping only. This is due to the weight as it's too heavy to ship without freighting. The unit weighs approximately 111 lb.
