The face looks used and scratched up because there is a thin wax layer(to prevent rusting before the wedge is used) that didn't completely fall of yet since I only played a single round with it. It's supposed to be rusty over time but since the wax didn't fall of yet, it was never rusty. Everything about this wedge is original and the grip is in amazing shape.
