The album features the quartet playing jazz arrangements of some of Led Zeppelin's most famous tracks like "Immigrant Song," "Kashmir," and "Whole Lotta Love." Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the album is a departure from the traditional Chesky Records single microphone recording technique. Instead, we used multiple 192/24 kHz ribbon mics while the musicians were in isolation booths to ensure their safety. The end result captures the same natural, warm, and intimate sound of a jazz combo that you would get listening to them at your favorite jazz club. We hope that things open up soon so that we can record larger groups in our traditional large acoustic spaces.
