It is made of translucent Capiz shells and has an aluminum rim. There are no cracks in the plate, and the silver color aluminum rim is securely fastened to the edges. There is one tiny pin hole near the top of the shell. It is very tiny but I believe one could insert a piece of clear nylon thread through the pin hole for hanging if desired.
