Description: This is a dug Civil War Union Eagle breast plate. It has a beautiful face. Both loops are intact. Mostly full lead on the back. Some chipping around the edge and missing some lead above the word Banks. This is out of an old collection with a light patina and really smooth lead. The digger labeled it on the back -Banks Ford, VA, 2 Dec 78, #35. Banks Ford is in Stafford County Virginia. Found on private property with permission. See the photos for more detail.
