Description: Clinch Engineer Boots 11” tall Size 9 U.S. (size 10 Clinch) Horsebutt leather Classic Narrow Last Per Minoru Matsuura, owner of Clinch/Brass Tokyo, the leather is horsebutt from Maryam tannery that was finished by Shinki tannery in Japan. This pair was just resoled and heeled by Unsung House with Dr. Sole half soles and heels. Beautiful work as shown. They are unworn since the resole. These boots were purchased several years ago, when, arguably Clinch’s boots were made at an even higher standard than today. They show fantastic rolls in the horsebutt. There are nicks, dings, scratches, and wear that enhance their beauty. They have the beautiful patina that only comes with wear. They have been cared for with Picards conditioners and Meltonian polish. They are ready for many, many years of wear. These were recently polished with black Meltonian polish. The leather is surface dyed at the Shinki tannery. “Teacore” leather. As the polish and surface wears, the brown tones will start to come through. If you want to keep a more brown tone, once the black polish has worn down, simply use a neutral polish. Please see the many photos for condition.
