Conway Stewart Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol with Box & Papers. 2006 The Conway Stewart Charles Dickens Limited Edition is based on their flagship Churchill model, the classic flattop cap and barrel featuring a vivid depiction of 'A Christmas Carol' and a life portrait of Charles Dickens. Dickens was an English novelist, generally considered the greatest of the Victorian Period. Compared to any author during his lifetime, Dickens enjoyed wider popularity and fame, and he remains popular, having been responsible for some of English literature's most iconic novels and characters. The continuing popularity of his novels and short stories is such that they have never gone out of print. In celebration of Dickens's life and great works, the painstakingly applied paintwork depicts his face on the cap, while the barrel is wrapped with a scene from one of his most famous works, 'A Christmas Carol'. The artwork is meticulously applied by hand to each pen individually by award-winning artist John Dillon GM. John Dillon GM specializes in custom art and is the only artist in the UK to have had a custom piece purchased by the Tate Modern Galley in London. He has worked for many prestigious companies, such as Ducati, Maserati, and Ferrari Engineering, to name just a few. Limited to only eight pieces, the Conway Stewart Charles Dickens fountain pen is fitted with an 18K solid gold Medium grade nib (other grades may be available upon request). The Dickens utilizes the reliable cartridge converter filling mechanism housed in the luxury Conway Stewart presentation case.
