Description: ORIGINAL VINTAGE LANTERN SLIDE – This is a rare c.1870’s hand tinted glass lanternslide photograph of Yokohama Japan by L. J. Marcy, 1340 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia. Marcy’s business ended in the 1880s. March was the inventor of the Sciopticon Magic Lantern projector in 1860. In the two years prior to this listing, I could find no eBay sales of Marcy’s lanternslide images on eBay.
