Description: DESCRIPTION You are bidding on an original, one-of-a-kind production cel used in making of the 1988 horror anime, Demon City Shinjuku. Based on the novel by Hideyuki Kikuchi the OVA was directed by Madhouse legend Yoshiaki Kawajiri of Ninja Scroll fame. Portions of the opening fight scene were featured in the 1995 cyberpunk film Johnny Mnemonic. Rare anime cel features the beautiful Sayaka Rama, daughter of the World President. This monotone image is from the scene when Sayaka dives into the puddle entrance to the Water Demon’s realm to save him, but winds up being attacked by the demon’s starfish eye and starts to drown. This A5 cel comes with a blank douga paper which is stuck to cel. Cel is in very good condition with minor traceline fade as expected in cels of this vintage. There are some paint missing from her hair as shown. Image size is 8.25 inches by 10.25 inches. Comes protected in fresh polypropylene cel bag for safe shipping.
