Description: Doctor`s Watch Elgin Shockmaster Automatic watch. Dates back to the 1950's. The SIGNED 10k gold filled case measures 26.3 mm wide not including the recessed crown and is 36.6 mm long. Has 5/8 inch lugs. The case shows only some minor wear on the case back edges. The SIGNED dial has some dirt that should clean off but I have not tried to do it myself. It appears to be an original dial. I call this a "Doctor's" watch as there is an outer 0 to 60 second chapter ring for measuring the pulse of a patient. The center sweep gold second hand just touches this chapter ring which is marked in 5 second intervals. The dial has gold applied Arabic and round dots for hour markers. The gold sword hour and minute hands look to be original. This watch has a SIGNED 17 Jewel Swiss made full rotor automatic movement. I have ordered a brand new crystal which I will have installed before shipping so buy with confidence.
