Description: I am offering for sale this Mid 1800's Primitive Blacksmith 8" Wheelwrights Wrought Iron Measuring Traveler Tool Inv#CR55 This is a great example of a early 1800's primitive blacksmith made Wheelweight's wrought measuring traveler. It is unmarked. It measures overall about from top to tip 12-1/2" L with a 8" circumference. It is strong and tight with a fine original pitted patina. It weighs 2 lbs. This has been rescued and needs a good home...It will serve you well and for the next generation or two. It has great rustic charm and still very sturdy with a lot of life left for you to use or display. It was purchased exactly as is from an estate...Ready to go to work for you......
