But make no mistake, once the sale is over it's O V E R and some of these may even go back into hiding. This is a beautiful case that once housed my 1959 Fender Precision Bass. This one has aged well becasue the bass was rarely inside the case and it never left my house. This case fits a Jazz Bass like a glove and will also accommodate Precision basses and protect them safely. You can see it has the pad on the lower left that holds the bass firmly in place. This style case was produced until 1972 or so. The pad started appearing as early as 1968 and gradually became the mainstream style. It measures 48" long on the outside and the inside width is 13". The Fender logo badge has no tail and there is the tiny "r" near the Fender logo. All the latches and hinges are clean & smooth, the leather handle is fantastic and all the leather is intact, the leather ends are extra clean (one 2" split taht can be glued) and all the metal feet are in-place. There may be one or two tiny tolex chips that are barely noticeable and some age patina on the latches and hinges. Hey, this thing is almost 55 years old. Your fine vintage Fender Bass would be beside itself to be seen in this case! Isn't it worth 5 to 8 percent of the value of your clean old Fender to have a proper case that's just as clean? The right case can add $1000 to the value of a Fender bass so it's a good investment. NO returns!
