Description: New Page 1 Helping Hand Clapboard Installation Tool This listing is for a Pair of Clapboard help tools for installing cedar clapboards. These tools allow 1 man to install long (up to 16 feet) without a helper. A picture is worth a 100 words, so look at the pictures. These are CNC machined from 6061T6 Aluminum bar. The toggle clamp is CAD plated steel and the fasteners are Stainless. These are adjustable from 4" to 5" spacing with 1/8" scribe lines for accurate tool set up. There are great instructions for clapboard installation at "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LE8gSY0EiVw". It is recommended that the clapboard layout is accomplished with a storyboard, marking the end locations of each board on the corner trim and window casing boards. This tool allows holding each board in place while verifying the positioning with a ruler and level before nailing. For installation of boards longer than 16 feet, to 2 pairs are recommended.
