Description: ConditionCondition of our Hornsea Contrast collection is very good. There are no chips, cracks or crazing unless specified in the listing. There are many pieces with light scratching. Some of the scratching is due to use as well as plate on plate storage. This is more noticeable the larger the plates are. Make note that when stacking plates with a brown, lightly textured bottom it will scratch and discolor the white glazing. We recommend putting a paper towel between plates to prevent this. For these plates we have made an effort to restore them to their original beauty but some scratching will remain. Noted on the flat plates, the shiny black glazed ring is prone to scratching, especially with larger plates. There is also what looks like light pitting. I'm not sure if this is an age issue or something from the original glaze. I'm thinking from the glaze but can't say for sure. - There are no notable issues on the cereal bowls. StampingThere are different stamp marks on the bowls/plates. Some are dated between 1975 and 1978 while others have no date. The dated ones are generally lighter while the non-dated are darker.
