When it is buttoned-up, it is 21 inches straight across from underarm to underarm.....it is 46 inches from the top of the back collar to the bottom of the single-vented coat......and the sleeve length is 30 inches. There is no smell/odor and no other issues whatsoever. After hanging up unused since the mid 90's, professional cleaning & pressing would be nice to do-----but it can be enjoyed as is. The scarf I am including is unused-----and though it has no tag, I can assure you that it is cashmere. I wear cashmere coats & scarves and know by feel what a material is.
