Description: Leica M3 Working and Tested 35mm Rangefinder (Single Stroke) Film Camera Body, S/N 1,095,700. A solid User Condition Classic Camera. The camera shows a good amount of use but no abuse. There are some marks on the top plate, almost none on the bottom plate, the back cover is missing some paint here and there and there is some Vulcanite missing in a few spots. Mechanically, the camera is very smooth - - The Shutter speeds are all firing and are within tolerance- The film advance is smooth- The viewfinder is clear with a couple of dust specs- The Self timer works- The frameline lever properly changes the frame lines- The Shutter Curtain operates properly and is clean We believe that the camera had a recent CLA as evidenced by a "CLA marking" covering the screw. But we did not receive documentation about a recent CLA. This M3 is ready to use. All in all, a very nice, desirable Leica M3. To clean it up a bit, it could use some cosmetic work, (i.e. replace the Vulcanite) which would restore its value, but is totally usable as is.
